Reflecting on the RSB Transition Leaders Forum in Singapore

.

Last week, RSB hosted the RSB Transition Leaders Forum, in partnership with The Boeing Company and Neste at the ParkRoyal Collection Marina Bay in Singapore.

Exclusive to RSB members and invited stakeholders, the RSB Transition Leaders Forum was a cross-sectoral event that brought together familiar and new stakeholders and partners to examine a wide range of topics most relevant to advancing the bio-based and circular economy in South-East Asia – given that the just and sustainable transition to a biocircular economy could bring about 1 trillion USD in economic opportunities in the region.

These topics included:

  • what makes a credible claim;
  • how demand for biocircular feedstock can drive better outcomes at a landscape level; and
  • how a robust approach to sustainability is going to be the key to future proofing investments and supply chains.

“I was so inspired by the vision, energy and ambition for sustainability that was shared by the 100 participants who joined our RSB Transition Leaders Forum in Singapore,” said RSB Executive Director Elena Schmidt.

“We are grateful to the stakeholders from across the spectrum of industry, financing, civil society, research and academia who joined us to develop knowledge and solutions that will support the region – and beyond – on the transition to a more sustainable, and more just bio-based and circular economy.”
