Julia Fidler

Julia Fidler is the Executive Director of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), leading the organisation’s mission to drive credible, collaborative solutions for a just and sustainable bioeconomy. She brings over 30 years of international experience including corporate sustainability, supply chain decarbonisation and climate innovation. Prior to joining RSB, Julia was the Director of Market Development, Energy, Connectivity and Sustainability at Microsoft, having also led the development of Microsoft’s fuel and materials decarbonisation strategy, shaping climate policy engagement, and pioneering innovative partnerships across sectors. Her work focused on hard-to-abate emissions, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and power-to-liquid technologies, as well as broader sustainability frameworks for high-impact industries. Throughout her career, Julia has championed systems thinking, transparent collaboration and integrity. She has worked across public and private sectors to shape practical pathways for net-zero transitions and has served as a long-standing partner and contributor to RSB’s work. She is based in the UK. As Executive Director, she brings a deep commitment to technical credibility, inclusive leadership and bold action in the face of climate and social challenges.
