Hannah Walker

Deputy Executive Director

 Hannah Walker is Deputy Executive Director at the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), where she supports organisational leadership and drives global engagement across industry, government, civil society, and academia. She leads RSB’s outreach, communications, and marketing, and is responsible for building and activating strategic partnerships, growing the organisation’s membership community, and designing high-impact global events.

Hannah plays a central role in positioning RSB as a trusted partner in the just transition to a sustainable bio-based and circular economy. Her work fosters collaboration among the diverse stakeholders that make up RSB’s multi-stakeholder community.

Since joining RSB in 2018 as Marketing & Communications Manager, Hannah has shaped the organisation’s voice and visibility in key markets, expanding its influence and reach. Prior to RSB, she was a director at a South African communications agency, overseeing large-scale campaigns across public and private sectors. Her earlier career includes work in policy research and analysis with the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and in risk evaluation at HSBC in London.

A graduate of the United World College of Hong Kong, Hannah holds degrees from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and King’s College London. She brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to inclusive sustainability leadership.

Outside of work, Hannah is a passionate history nerd who loves exploring languages and cultures – and can often be found hiking, playing padel, or on the Pilates mat.
