Arianna Baldo

Arianna Baldo is RSB’s Senior Director of Programs and leads the design and implementation of RSB’s programmes. These include R&D and landscape-level projects, corporate partnerships, and initiatives such as book and claim, all aimed at advancing a just and sustainable transition to a bio-based and circular economy in hard-to-abate sectors like aviation, shipping, and materials.

Prior to joining RSB, Arianna worked with several sustainability certification systems and served as Executive Director for Fairtrade South Africa, where she led the expansion of Fairtrade certification and demand in the region. She has over 15 years of experience working with supply chain actors, end-users, and brands to demonstrate sustainability impact through certification and partnerships. Academically, Arianna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Public Relations from Italy and a Master of Arts in Global Studies, studying in Germany, South Africa, and India. She also recently completed the United Nations System Staff College course “The Paris Agreement on Climate Change as a Development Agenda.”

Outside of work, Arianna has a passion for science and philosophy, enjoys road trips through desert landscapes, and loves playing tennis—still dreaming of one day winning the Roland Garros.
