RSB is owned and run by its members. They come together once a year at the General Assembly of Delegates to approve changes to the standards, appoint the Board of Directors, review the accounts and make any adjustments to the rules & governance of the organisation. To ensure a balance between business and civil society interests, RSB community members are organised into five groups or ‘chambers’ which represent different sectors.

Associate Members can participate fully in discussions on the development of the RSB standards, but unlike Full Members, they are not part of the governance of the organisation. Therefore they are not eligible for leadership positions and do not vote.
Our global community is helping to shape the future of our Standard – and the bioeconomy.
We help companies ensure sustainable production through a unique combination of components that differentiate the RSB Standard from any other active standard today.
