Target Corporation becomes newest RSB member

Target, the American retail corporation, has joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) to further advance its ambitions in the bio-based and circular economy as part of its “Target Forward” sustainability strategy.
With a vision “to co-create a more equitable and regenerative future for all”, Target’s ambitions cover social and environmental sustainability, as well as a Net Zero by 2040 goal. Target Forward is supported by measurable goals across the corporation and its supply chain – covering environmental sustainability, social equity, and climate action.
By joining RSB, an organisation that exists to lead the just and sustainable transition to a net zero carbon, bio-based and circular economy, Target is signalling its commitment to achieving its goals with the support and expertise of the sector’s most trusted partner. Through RSB membership, Target has access to the latest knowledge and expertise on sustainability in the bio-based and circular economy. RSB membership provides a platform for discussion, collaboration and the creation of new knowledge, grounded in the framework provided by RSB’s best-in-class sustainability Standard.
Welcoming Target to the RSB family, Elena Schmidt, RSB Executive Director, had this to say, “I am delighted to welcome Target to the RSB member family. Their vision for sustainability is ambitious and we look forward to supporting them to access the potential of the sustainable bio-based and circular economy on their journey to help them achieve their vision for the future.”
