News Environment , News & Innovation ,WWF Germany has published a progress report in collaboration with Edeka examining water risk in agricultural supply chains and reviewing how well sustainability standards cover water stewardship. The RSB Standard has been recognised for its best practise in relation to:
- Water Rights
- Consideration of catchment impacts
- Catchment-level collaboration
- Quantitative water use information
- Water use efficiency
- Contextual water quantity limitations

In 2015 A WWF report entitled “Strengthening Water Stewardship in Agricultural Sustainability Standards” demonstrated the RSB as having the highest coverage regarding water across the four water stewardship outcomes. It also highlighted that only RSB made mention of environmental flow requirements to be accounted for in the determination of water availability.
