RSB and Chooose Announce Collaboration to Advance Digital Book and Claim Solutions for SAF
.
Geneva, 10 December 2025 – At its Annual Conference this week, the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) announced a new collaboration with software company Chooose to advance the digital infrastructure required to scale credible Book and Claim systems for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The collaboration builds on a joint Book and Claim integration pilot launched earlier this year to connect the RSB Book and Claim Registry with the Chooose platform. It draws on the shared expertise of RSB’s multi-stakeholder community — including partners like Chooose — to build trusted, auditable systems that serve the entire SAF value chain.
By connecting RSB’s robust sustainability standards with Chooose software, the integration aims to accelerate and streamline the management of SAF environmental attributes, strengthening SAF traceability. Furthermore, by eliminating manual data management across systems, the integration ensures digital integrity as SAF attributes move across the value chain — supporting the development of a more efficient and standardised SAF digital ecosystem. By integrating with platforms like Chooose, which bring deep operational and digital expertise, RSB’s system can scale more efficiently and serve a wider range of market participants with trust and ease.
The pilot focuses on four key areas: system integration and data synchronisation, automated SAF transaction validation, real world testing with pilot participants, and incorporating the integration into the RSB Recognition Procedure. Through this work, RSB and Chooose are laying the foundations for a scalable, user-friendly, and audit-ready digital Book and Claim system that supports reliable SAF claims and helps avoid double counting.
“Book and Claim plays a critical role in accelerating decarbonisation in hard to abate sectors such as aviation,” said Julia Fidler, Executive Director at RSB. “This collaboration with Chooose brings together trusted sustainability standards and leading digital capabilities to support credible climate action.”
“We are proud to serve as a technical layer further connecting the RSB Book & Claim Registry with the global SAF market. Our platform is designed for flexibility, enabling connectivity with leading registries to ensure broad market participation. This integration provides the digital foundation for the automated transfer of book and claim units while ensuring the environmental attributes are tracked, verified, and retired with integrity across the value chain,” said Linda Kristoffersen, VP of SAF Solutions at Chooose.
The Chooose platform automates end-to-end SAF program management — from the intake of book and claim units to sales and eventual retirement in the RSB Book & Claim Registry. Widely used across the travel and transport sector, Chooose provides the digital tools to manage and scale SAF programs. Through this RSB and Chooose integration, users will gain access to automated SAF data exchange, harmonised sustainability information, and RSB-issued retirement statements. This improves trust, efficiency, and reporting readiness for SAF buyers and intermediaries.
The project is ongoing, with testing underway. The integration builds on the RSB Book & Claim System, developed through a rigorous, multi-stakeholder process that ensures credibility, traceability, and broad alignment with global sustainability expectations.
RSB and Chooose continue to work with selected pilot participants to refine the integration and prepare for launch in 2026, supporting the continued development of digital Book and Claim solutions that enhance transparency and confidence across the SAF value chain.
Recognising the growing demand for transparent climate claims, this pilot reflects RSB’s vision for robust, interoperable systems that scale SAF solutions without compromising trust.
