Credible by design: Shaping the future of sustainable chemicals & materials

.

About the Webinar

As pressure mounts to transform the chemicals and materials sector, credibility, collaboration and clear guidance have never been more important. This webinar brings together voices from across the value chain including leaders in textiles, chemical innovation, production and civil society to explore the systems, tools and partnerships needed to accelerate a truly sustainable, circular materials transition.

We’ll spotlight critical issues such as traceability, feedstock governance, sustainability claims and the role of mass balance, all central to building trust and driving action.

The session also marks the launch of RSB’s Sustainable Chemicals & Materials Platform, a new space for cross-sector collaboration grounded in RSB’s trusted sustainability framework and multi-stakeholder governance. The Platform will support practical solutions, shared standards and aligned action across industries.

We will also feature Plastic Reboot, a global initiative led by WWF and UNEP with GEF support. As a core executing partner, RSB is developing sustainability guidance for plastic alternatives, applying its methodology to help catalyse systems change in the global plastics economy.

This webinar will also serve as a gateway to deeper engagement at the RSB Annual Conference, including:

• A dedicated Sustainable Chemicals & Materials Platform workshop (Tuesday 9 December)

• A full plenary session on sustainable materials (Wednesday 10 December)

• And a Plastic Reboot workshop, bringing stakeholders together to shape next steps in the development of guidance for alternative materials (Tuesday 9 December)

Join us online to be part of this exciting launch, connect with leading voices, and help shape a credible and inclusive future for sustainable materials.
