Come work with us: Consultant to help update Technoeconomic Analysis Tool
.
RSB is looking to work with a consultant who can help us upgrade a technoeconomic analysis tool (TEA tool) prototype that was developed to support industry in Brazil understand and estimate the economic feasibility of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production.
The TEA tool is an excel-based calculator that allows users to estimate economic indicators for selected SAF production pathways. Its primary purpose is to evaluate the economic feasibility of SAF production in various countries and provide valuable outcomes for decision-making. Users can enter economic and environmental parameters into spreadsheets, and the tool automatically calculates the techno-economic indicators, as well as conduct a sensitivity analysis. These results are then displayed in a dashboard. The TEA tool currently covers the two SAF production pathways of hydro-processed esters and fatty acids (HEFA) and alcohol-to-jet (ATJ).
The goal of this project is to support RSB in ‘upgrading’ this prototype into a fully-fledged and user-friendly technoeconomic analysis tool – a tool designed to be used by a wide range of stakeholders, including industry professionals, the RSB team, partners and consultants.
