The Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) today announced the addition of 4AIR to its membership. 4AIR is an aviation sustainability company focused on comprehensive, turnkey programs to help aircraft operators decarbonize.
By becoming an RSB member, 4AIR builds upon the success of recent partnerships, such as with fellow RSB member Alder Fuels to utilise new technology to transparently and permanently record the production and use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
RSB is a global membership organization that has been guiding sector transformation to bio-based and circular models for over a decade. The RSB’s sustainability framework is the most trusted and peer-reviewed of its kind, and has been developed by the organisation’s multi-stakeholder membership. As a uniquely robust and credible foundation for supporting innovative solutions to the climate crisis, RSB uses this foundation to develop projects, new knowledge and best-practices that equip key decision-makers to deliver positive impacts for people and the planet.
As an RSB member, 4AIR will be invited to contribute to the continuous development of the RSB Standard, and also benefit from global recognition and access to industry initiatives and policy platforms that are shaping future markets, such as the SAF Policy Platform, and support the collaborative development of the RSB Book & Claim System, which was most recently updated by the community at the RSB Annual Conference.
“I am thrilled to welcome 4AIR to RSB’s membership community. As we wrap up the year, it has become clear that as a collaborative network, RSB represents industry leaders on a journey towards a bio-based and circular economy. 4AIR’s addition is further evidence of that. We are confident that 4AIR will make the most of all that RSB has to offer, and we look forward to supporting them and their customers,” says Elena Schmidt, RSB’s Executive Director.
“4AIR is dedicated to helping all facets of aviation to meet industry and global sustainability initiatives,” said Kennedy Ricci, 4AIR President. “An increasing number of end users are looking to incorporate SAF as part of their sustainability programs. Joining RSB, we hope to be the conduit connecting the end users with the membership community, while also helping drive the key frameworks and certifications that will accelerate the proliferation of SAF.”
