Working with the RSB Standard

Learn more through our guidelines, guidance and general information on the RSB Standard.

Operators have several options on how to be certified to the RSB Standard. Depending on their region, their market, the type of feedstock or product, and whether the operator is a smallholder, the most relevant Standard can be selected. Each Standard is then composed of various different supporting standards that outline how to produce biomass, advanced fuels, products and biomaterials in an environmentally, socially and economically responsible way. There are additional voluntary modules to support Low ILUC certification.

This page provides access to all of the relevant documentation to help operators, auditors and other parties work with our Best-in-Class Standard.

Select the Standard most appropriate to you and explore the associated Standard Documents listed below.

Which RSB Standard?

If you are a fuel producer seeking to sell in the EU, you should use the EU RED Standard. If you are not based in, or planning to sell into, the EU, you should use the Global Standard.

Non-fuel producers should utilise our Advanced Products Standard.

All certifications can be enhanced with the addition of the Low ILUC Standard.

Groups of Smallholders can achieve RSB Certification with the Smallholder Standard, which provides a tailored and step-wise approach for smallholders.
