Dr. Kevin Fingerman is an Assistant Professor in the department of Environmental Science and Management at Humboldt State University. His research has investigated broad-based environmental and social impacts of transportation energy. In particular, he has worked on the life cycle water and greenhouse gas impacts of bioenergy systems and policy design to improve the environmental and social performance of fuels. Dr. Fingerman served in a consulting capacity on bioenergy sustainability issues for several California regulatory agencies, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Packard Foundation, Friends of the Earth International, and several private sector entities. Prior to his current post, he worked in Rome for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation, providing support in the design of biofuel policies to the governments of Indonesia and Colombia. He holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley’s Energy & Resources Group.

Laxman Neupane, is the Manager for the Centre for Empowerment and Development (CED) Nepal based in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, Nepal. He joined CED Nepal in 2013 working for the Governance, Human Development and Sustainability Program, and promotes sustainable smallholder biofuels in Nepal.

Kateryna is currently completing a Master’s degree in Strategic eco design at Université de Montréal and has experience working with sustainable business strategies in the aviation industry, particularly with the emerging sector of alternative aviation fuels.
