The RSB is currently revising its RSB Standard for the Certification of Bio-products. It enables producers of bio-products to receive RSB certification and demonstrate responsible practices throughout the supply chain.
The proposed revisions include:
• A new section on calculating GHG emissions and on GHG emission reduction thresholds
• Clarifications on bio-based (carbon) content thresholds
• The option to use a mass balance system for the bio-based input to processes and supply chains
• Specifications for communication and claims
You can access the draft revision of the standard here.
Your input is vital to the completion of the revision and we would so appreciate your participation in the second round of the consultation process. To do so please include your comments in the feedback form and send it to email@example.com by September 10th 2017.
Please see more information about the revision process here.
