Stephen Wetmore

Business Development Director

An economist by training, Stephen is a strategist and pragmatic optimist with a deep knowledge and unique blend of experiences in sustainability, market transformation, innovation, circular-economy, built environment, agriculture, conservation, business development, and brand and marketing.

Driven by a passion for people and equitable growth within the boundaries of our planet, he has often combined formal work experience with social enterprise and conservation. With more than 20 years’ experience, and a career that has spanned 4 continents and all sectors, he brings a diversity of unique perspectives and skills garnered from a range of roles and leadership positions.

Incisive in identifying shifts and understanding significant issues of materiality and levers for innovation and change, he has a solid track record in merging sustainability and business development to drive organisational and/or business success, and finding systemic solutions to create shared value and systems impact. With RSB he works with government, civil society, industry and companies alike to drive RSB’s impact around the globe.

Prior to joining RSB as Business Development Director, Stephen served as Chair of the RSB Board of Directors.
