RSB members are part of a worldwide movement of businesses, NGO’s, academics, government and UN organisations.

By accepting the Articles of Association of the RSB, members endorse RSB objectives and commit to allocate sufficient time and resources towards the development and implementation of the RSB Standard.

RSB membership, however, does not indicate compliance with the RSB Principles & Criteria. Compliance with the RSB Principles & Criteria may only be demonstrated via certification, including the successful completion of an on-site audit by an accredited certification body, as defined in the RSB certification standards.

UNCTAD Publishes Report Referencing RSB’s iLUC Standard and Smallholder Projects

“Advanced biofuels made from non-food biomass, also known second-generation biofuels, have become a commercial reality,” a new UNCTAD report concludes. The report, Second-Generation Biofuel Markets: State of Play, Trade and Developing Country Perspectives, also discusses RSB’s leadership in establishing the first iLUC standard and RSB’s environmental and social impact through various smallholder projects around the world.
