The RSB assurance process (auditing and certification) makes sure that all the good practices defined in the standard are implemented on the ground. Together, the standard and the assurance process generate value because brand owners, investors, and end-consumers can be sure that the biofuels and biomaterials do not negatively affect climate, ecosystems and local communities. In comparison with others, the RSB assurance process provides additional guardians like stakeholder consultations and third-party independent accreditation of certification bodies

Accreditation Services International acts as the RSB integrity body.
Accreditation Services International (ASI) is an international accrediting agency acting as the RSB integrity body. ASI provides oversight of the RSB certification system and independent accreditation of all certification bodies offering RSB certification services, including SCS Global Services, and Control Union Certifications B.V.
ASI is also the provider of accreditation services to other ecolabels and certification programmes such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
As an international organisation with a focus on environmental and social sustainability, ASI’s expertise ensures that audits towards the RSB system are conducted with competence and consistency, regardless of where in the world they take place.
